It is for french rapper Taipan, so apologies if you don’t understand, and believe me, you’re missing out.

Radok shot the live-action, and I did the VFX and grade.

It is really a two men job on this one, so we are pretty happy with the result.

I’ve had the chance to help a bit on this amazing short movie my friends Clement Bolla, Fx Goby and Mathieu Landour directed together.
I’ve seen it at the Aubin Cinema for a private screening last week, it is absolutely awesome.

Not much update lately, but there is a good reason (kind of).

I’ve joined the amazing crew of the “Amazing World of Gumball” as a background artist for Season 2 of this AMAZING show (3x amazingness).

So I guess it’s going to be a bit quiet in here for a while, unless…hum…we’ll see.

Anyway, Season 1 is airing worldwide, check it out, and wait forward for the backgrounds on Season 2 !

Audi - A day in the Life of an Audi Driver

The previous stereotest wasn’t completely innocent…

I’ve had the chance to be CG/Comp supervisor on this amazing Audi spot.

Starring Audi Team Leader Alan McNish, as described by Creative Review, “it gives a real insight into the physical endurance required to be a Le Mans driver”.

Directed by Chris Hemming at Passion Pictures, the ad is two-and-a-half minutes in length and incorporates a mixture of live action, hand-drawn sketches and stereoscopic techniques.

First attempt, with a rather simple setup (ie two iphones and a fair amount of rubber bands), but it’s already quite cool i think.

Alright, I can’t find enough ways of telling everyone how much I am astonished by these guys work. Just have a look at their website, and wish you were in Paris right the f*** now, to go to their exhibition at the Surprise Gallerie.

Their fresk is by far the most impressive piece of illustration I’ve seen in ages.

Burberry Beijin

We just finished this incredible piece of animation for Burberry’s Beijing Show, the brand biggest event ever. Our graphics were projected on a set of 17 massive screens all around the amazing venue in Beijing (including ceilling !). The team produced around 25 minutes of animation and live footages, approximatively twice the size of a football pitch.

Compare the Market “Streets of Ambitiousness” and Harmonix “Dance Central Intro”, two commercials I worked on last year, have both been selected in the “best tv ad” category at the 2011 Annecy Festival !

It is always rewarding to see your work selected in such a great event…

… congratulations to Darren Walsh and Robert Valley, and hopefully someone will bring a prize back to London !

Harmonix Dance Central - Intro and Outro

Last November, Harmonix released their new Kinect Dance video-game called “Dance Central”. I worked on the Intro and Outro of the game, both directed by the outrageously talented and underated Rob Valley.

I worked on the scene where the background had to be processed in CG, like the train, skateboard, or car shots.

American McGee - Alice Madness Returns (Passion Pictures)

A few month ago, we delivered this third trailer for American McGee’s new video game : “Alice : Madness Returns”.

I rendered a few shots but mostly worked on the environement props shaders, and I did the matte-painting for the pan-shot when she wakes up (see image).

The campaign has been directed by Shy the Sun, at Passion-Pictures.

Super 8 Memories

About a year ago, while digging in my grandfather’s attic, I found an old Super8 projector and an old bag full of films my great-grandfather had shot from 1959 to 1970.

The projector turned out to be working perfectly, and I discovered that some of the footages were of my dad when he was around 5 years old…while some others were actually the last images of my great-grandfather, who I had never seen.

I edited this short clip from these footages, and offered it as a Christmas present for my grandfather, who witnessed his dad holding mine, pictures nobody had seen for more than 40years.
